What to expect
A driver's medical exam includes a review of your general health, vision, hearing, cardiovascular status, and any conditions that may affect your ability to drive safely. The exam follows Alberta Transportation guidelines. Once the assessment is complete, your physician will complete the required Alberta Transportation form and provide it to you directly. Bring the appropriate form from Alberta Transportation or Service Alberta to your appointment.
Who this is for
Driver's medical exams are required for commercial drivers (Class 1 to 4) on a regular basis and for personal licence holders above certain age thresholds or with specific health conditions flagged by Alberta Transportation. This is an uninsured service not covered under AHCIP. Fees apply — contact the clinic for current rates. Please bring your driver's licence, AHCIP card, and the Alberta Transportation medical form to your appointment.
